10s Badge of the Colony, slate-blue and carmine shade, wide frame, multiple script CA watermark, perf 14 x 14. Some gum tropicalisation and pencil inscription on reverse otherwise fine. Mint never hinged. SG163d; SC142var
Note: the paper was dampened on early printings resulting in shrinkage and narrow frames (23½ to 23¾ mm). Later printings were on dry paper resulting in wide frames (24¼ mm)
