Eileen Mayo

Eileen Mayo (1906–1994) was born in Norwich and studied at the Slade and the Central School, working as a painter and printmaker before emigrating to Australia in 1953 and settling in New Zealand in 1962. Her Australian output includes the 1959–62 Fauna definitives, among them the platypus, and for New Zealand 1969 Cook Bicentenary, the 1970 Moths and Fishes definitives and 1971 Antarctic Treaty Anniversary set.
