Daphne Padden


Daphne Padden stamp designer
Daphne Padden (1927–2009) attended Epsom and Ewell School of Art and predominately painted in watercolour. From the mid 1950s she was designing posters and packaging for BEA, British Rail, M&S, P&O, Trust House Forte, and Royal Mail. Her adeptness at miniatures was later put to use by the Crown Agents in designing stamps for various territories including St Lucia, St Vincent and Pitcairn Islands.
