Emvin Cremona stamp designer
Emvin Cremona (1919–1987), who was born in Valletta and studied his craft in Malta, Italy, France and London, spent his early years creating impressionistic landscape paintings before dazzling with geometrically abstract figures. In addition to adorning many of Malta's churches with his art, he also designed most of the country's stamps from the late 1950s to 1980. Over 60 sets were produced by him in that period.
