Lynton Lamb

Lynton Lamb (1907–1977) was born in India and trained at Camberwell and the Central School, designing book jackets and bindings for Oxford University Press from 1930 and later heading lithography at the Royal College of Art and the Slade. His Great Britain output includes 1953 Coronation (2½d) and its greetings telegram, and the 1955 Castles high values, whose 'broken grotto' frame stayed in use until 1968.
