Stuart Rose

Stuart Rose (1911–1993) was born in London and studied at Magdalen College, Oxford and the Central School of Arts and Crafts. He became Typographical Adviser to the Postmaster General in 1962 and was the Post Office's first Design Director from 1968 to 1976. His Great Britain output includes 1967 Christmas, 1968 British Paintings and 1971 Ulster Paintings, plus stamp booklet covers.
