Note: although issued primarily for postage within Bahrain, the stamps were also valid for external mail.
The Stanley Gibbons 1983 Elizabethan catalogue states 3,000 copies of each value were sold. Given the stamps were printed in sheets of 80, and the plate number appears only once per sheet, a maximum of 38 of each plate block can exist
