Terence Cuneo

Terence Cuneo (1907–1996) was born in London and studied at Chelsea Polytechnic and the Slade before making his name painting railways, engineering and military scenes, each hiding his trademark mouse. Official artist at the 1953 Coronation, he painted the great locomotives of the age for British Railways posters. His one Great Britain issue is 1985 Famous Trains, five celebrated locomotives at full steam.
