Note: although prepared for issue, the 1c with 'STATEHOOD' overprint was not available over post office counters together with the rest of the series on 1 March 1967. However, its existence (and validity) was acknowledged on 10 May 1967. The overprint on the majority of 1c and 6c stamps is red, but examples also exist with a scarcer black overprint
