Stamp-size photographic proofs, of unadopted designs by Michael Farrar-Bell, commemorating the National Liberation Council's running of the Ghanaian Government from 24 February 1966 following a military coup against the Kwame Nkrumah administration. Hand stamped 'FARRAR-BELL ARCHIVE' on the reverse. Very scarce. Fine.

 

Note: stamps commemorating the start of the NLC Government were never issued, but anniversary sets appeared in 1967, 1968 and 1969 – none were designed by Michael Farrar-Bell
