Jeffery Matthews
Jeffery Matthews (1928–2023) was born in London and studied at the Brixton School of Building before turning freelance, with a flair for heraldry and lettering. His Great Britain output runs from 1965 United Nations to 2007 and includes 1984 Heraldry, 1987 Order of the Thistle and 1998 Order of the Garter, as well as the regional symbols, numerals and colour palette of the Machin definitive series.
