Enid Marx
Enid Marx (1902–1998) was born in London and studied at the Central School and the RCA alongside Eric Ravilious, opening her own block-printing workshop in 1927. Her moquette seat fabrics for London Transport and wartime Utility textiles made her a Royal Designer for Industry in 1944. For Great Britain she designed the frames of the ½d to 2d values of the 1952 Wildings, the first of the reign.
