Edward Hughes
Edward Hughes (1923–1991) was born in Stepney and studied at St Martin's School of Art, where he later taught, and the Royal College of Art. An illustrator and printmaker specialising in linocut, he worked from East Farleigh in Kent in partnership with Collis Clements on 1971 Christmas, 1973 Royal Wedding and 1974 Churchill Centenary. His other designs include 1979 Year of the Child and 1988 Linnean Society.
