David Gillespie


David Gillespie stamp designer
David Gillespie (1936–1998) was born in Roscommon, Ireland, and studied at Croydon College of Art and the RCA, where he met Ann Reason. They married in 1960 and formed a design partnership producing murals and sculptures for public buildings. He later designed television sets and took architectural commissions. The 1966 British Technology 4d and 6d, credited to him alone, were joint work.
