Cedric Herbert

Cedric Herbert (1937–2011) was schooled at Abingdon. He apprenticed as a draughtsman and photographer at Harwell before emigrating to Rhodesia in 1953 where he joined its air force as an aerial photographer. From 1978 Powered Flight Anniversary he designed many Rhodesian and then Zimbabwean stamps, among them 1988 Wild Ducks and Geese, 2001 Total Solar Eclipse and the 2005 Birds definitives.
