QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1966 PROFILE DIE PROOF, DE LA RUE
Unadopted die proof of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Kokoshnik tiara in reddish brown on wove paper, measuring circa 34 x 44 mm, inscribed '1st proof' in blue biro. Probably unique thus. Ex De La Rue archives. A little grubby otherwise generally fine.
Note: engraved by Edward Dawson from a photograph taken on 5 May 1961 during the Queen's visit to the Vatican.
